My little entertainer
I know we shouldn't label our children, but there are some personality traits that I just don't want to forget about my sweet girls at this age. One of these things, is just how much FUN Lyla likes to have.
It is not at all abnormal to find Lyla on her rocking chair, "reading" books all by herself. I think this is a way for her to escape from the insanity sometimes.
However, the majority of the time, this is how we find her. She loves to get a laugh, and anything to make you do that is fair game. If this means silly costumes, faces, and cold food from being the live entertainment during supper time instead of eating, she is willing to be the muse.
She has also found a new love for dressing up and playing mommy. I think some of this is just mimicking her sister, but there are lots occasions where she does this all by herself. It has been fun to watch the nurturing side come out of her lately.
All in all, Lyla is loved!
My little princess
Anyone who knows Evelynn, knows that she is a princess through and through. Not in the self-entitled-diva sort of way, but more like the fairy tales that we all grew up with. When Evelynn dresses up (daily I mind you), she takes on the complete persona of her character. The other day she asked me to take a few pictures of her, it was so hard to take her seriously as I snapped the poses.
If any of you have read the Fancy Nancy books to your kids, you will see Evelynn on every page!
This smile cracks me up!
slight head tilt is necessary...
certainly needs to say the word "cheeeeeeezzzzeeeee"
closing the eyes makes it somehow better...
and finally a good nose wrinkle could never hurt!
I LOVE this ugly, awful, horrible little smile! Every time she does it I laugh ridiculously hard! Oh, Lord, thank you so much for my sweet children to help fill my life with laughter!
Oh yeah, and I should mention that Halloween is all year round at my house - so it only makes me laugh harder!
21 months
Yes, I know it's been a while since I posted any pictures...so here goes a whirlwind of pictures for you!
Lyla Mae is already 21 months old! I can't believe we are so quickly approaching her second birthday. Here she is just being the goober than she is:
