The Latest in Evelynn's World
Here are a few of the latest happenings in toddler world:
Evelynn is showing off her bracelet she is beading. I had no idea I had a budding artist on my hands! We have been practicing our patterns, and of course our patience!
Daddy snapped a picture of myself with Evelynn. Yup, believe it or not...she is taking a NAP! This was on Sunday afternoon...glorious!
And finally...well this happened today. We got out the stamps again, and let's just say that Evelynn got a little curious. When I asked her what she was thinking, she told me she wanted to see what it tasted like. That's right...apparently we aren't quite over the stage where we put everything in our mouth.
The good news...we had lots of fun. The bad news...apparently those stamp pads aren't made for kiddos because it stained really badly! I am just praying that we can scrub it off in the tub well enough before church Sunday morning! Any non-toxic ideas??

Lounging Lizard
More uses for the Boppy: toddlers lounging, watching a movie, while eating snack.
Evelynn is showing the camera: "I draw a snail!" I am sure it was quite by accident, but it does look a lot like a snail!
My two eldest, relaxing on the couch together.
What a good dog. Makes a fine pillow, doesn't he?
Love from Toddlers
Let's just say, when Lyla is awake...she gets A LOT of attention!
Here is the sweet little boy next door, Finley, with Lyla. He says, "Yi-ya" soooo cute!
Little Momma with Lyla, who she now refers to as "my baby." Now if I could only get her to learn how to change diapers, do middle of the night feedings, and rock her to sleep...we would be golden!
Isn't this the cutest little onesie? My neighbor (Fin's mom, Whitney) got this, with a matching Big Sis one for Evelynn!
The one good thing about having a toddler around, you never have to be the one entertaining the baby!

Brad's 27th Birthday!
Brad's birthday was on Monday, and we had a little birthday-on-a-budget celebration for him!
Lyla gave Daddy dinner at his favorite fast food place, none other than Long John Silvers!
Here is Brad with his gift from myself and my mom and Les. He is also holding the beautiful card to show Evelynn's contributions.
And finally, this is what Evelynn gave her Daddy! I was so proud of her. She really did do everything herself, with a little help of course. As you will notice, I couldn't resist an opportunity to make an alphabet lesson out of the project! Brad's favorite dessert is cherry pie, so he was thrilled.
Killing Time During Lyla's Naps
Evelynn has been learning a lot about being quiet while her sister is taking a nap. Bless her heart, Lyla is sleeping most of the day! Here is a little of what she has been up to!
Evelynn's latest things that she loves to do is puzzles, drawing, building with blocks, and anything craft related.
She also LOVES playing with Sammy. I usually have to step in and stop the rough-housing before someone gets hurt...but they sure do love each other. (Is it just me, or does Evelynn look like a little cheerleader or a gymnast in this picture?)
Sometimes Evelynn doesn't exactly want to stop playing.
Here is one of the latest art projects. We decided to make some money to use to buy our pretend groceries. It ended up being a pretty good lesson about buying things, and paper having value sometimes. We have also been making bracelets and necklaces out of beads, using my stamp collection, and of course, good old play doh. I must admit, I miss summer. Winter activities are much more difficult for me.
Random Holiday Pictures
Since our computer has been out of commission for a little while, I have quite a bit of catching up to do. I apologize for things being out of order!
Brad got this pirate hat at our Sunday School's white elephant gift exchange. Evelynn likes it!
My cutie!
Grandma Woods and Evelynn making some chocolate covered pretzels
Isn't this cute?
Evelynn's First Haircut!
Yup, you read correctly. I am just now getting around to getting my two year olds haircut! I guess it is a perk of having girls...I have saved a lot of money!
It took a little convincing, but after grandma told her she could have princess hair...she decided to go for it. When she said she was willing, we jumped in the car and were there within minutes! She just got a trim, but it looks SO MUCH BETTER!
Sammy and the Boppy
So, this is a new problem for us. Sam didn't take as much interest in the Boppy until we started using it with Lyla!
But isn't he cute??
For those of you who aren't familiar with a "Boppy," I put in this picture. I thought it showed you a little better what shape it is. It is used for nursing, for those of you who haven't been a Mommy in quite some time.
Some snapshots of Lyla
Staring at her Daddy. Not that I blame her, I catch myself staring at his handsome face too!
Chillin' in the Boppy
She is starting to become much more alert. She usually stays up for about an hour out of every three.
Unfortunately, this is the majority of what she puts up with for that hour! Evelynn has no concept of someone needing space, over-stimulation, or the fact that Lyla doesn't have to look at her for her to be heard. The good news, she still very much LOVES her sister.
