Surprise Gift!

When Evelynn and I checked the mail today, Evelynn had a surprise package waiting for her from her Great Uncle Steve and Aunt Lisa (and family)!
This picture is funny because I know that Evelynn has no idea what she has just opened, but she is thrilled just the same. (It was a really cool top that spins with a rip cord).

Evelynn was so excited to have received a Willie!

Sammy was excited too! It was a Wildcat puppet, and it is adorable! Perfect toy to help us get through the rest of winter and some wet days in spring!

Evelynn almost has the top figured out. She hasn't gotten tired of just watching that thing spin!

I should also mention that Lyla really liked the puppet too. Of course, she just wants to give him wet kisses, but she loves him still the same!

Bubbles

Here are a few pictures of Lyla! You'll notice that her hair is starting to lay down a little better these days!
Little tummy time for my baby. She really enjoys playing on her tummy, so she spends a lot of her time like this. However, today she rolled over! It was hilarious to see her little face looking so surprised!

We have started calling Lyla by the name of Bubbles. She loves to blow raspberries, and by the end of her playtime she usually has a bubble beard!

It has been so much fun getting out the old toys and watching Sissy discover with all of her little senses.

Dr. Evelynn and Crazy Girl!

Dr. Evelynn is giving Sammy a shot. Don't worry though, she tells him that it only hurts a little!

And you get a band-aid after you get your shot - so it's not all bad!

Evelynn loves to take off her clothes in the morning and be a crazy girl for a little while before we make her put some on. Here are a couple pictures from this morning!

"Do you like being naked?" "Woohoo!"

3 Months Old!

I can hardly believe that Lyla is already three months old! It is so cliche, but it really does seem like only yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital!
Here is a classic wiggle smile that we have come to love. It consists of a shimmy, a tongue, and a squint!

There's that tongue again, but you have to check out that hair! Oh man all mighty is that some wild hair!

In this picture you can see that her eyes are starting to turn that crystal blue color that her sister has. Oh yeah, and the hair and tongue are back for this shot too!

I also had to throw in this picture because it cracks me up! This morning I was putting away some of Lyla's clothes that no longer fit. Yup, you guessed it, that little outfit on Evelynn's doll was one that she wore in the hospital. I honestly don't remember her ever being that small! Isn't Evelynn going to be thrilled when I pull out all of those clothes for her doll to wear?!

Some Fun

Daddy has been super busy at work, but he makes the most of the time he has at home! Here he is enjoying his girls!

Daddy goes in for a stolen kiss!

Evelynn and Sammy have recently become closer than ever. I am guessing it is because I have less time to be her playmate, so she has found a friend in Sam. As you can see, Sammy is VERY patient with her. There is no way he would ever let me play dress up with him!

By the way, Sammy is not even allowed on the couch like that! I had to take a picture though when I saw what the two of them were doing.

Grandparents from All Sides!

So, I am a little behind on my blogging, but all for good reason. We have had some house guests! Not just house guests, but the best kind, FAMILY! Here a few shots that were taken from my camera from the two different weekends. I am hoping they share their pictures with me too - hint hint!

My Girls

One of the girls' favorite thing to do is lay on our bed in the morning in their pajamas. Aren't they cute all rosy faced and sleepy eyed?!

Lyla has really turned into a sweet little thing lately. She talks so much more than Evelynn ever did that it takes me by surprise. I guess she figures she has to speak up in order to be noticed!

Evelynn still loves Lyla! Big sister loves to put her baby blankets on Lyla and give her Bunny. I love the look on Lyla's face in this picture. "Help! She's doing it again!" Complete concern.

Of course, Evelynn saw me taking that picture of Lyla and then insisted that I take their picture together. Poor Lyla will have very few pictures of just her I have realized. Evelynn's head always seems to show up in the corner somewhere! HA!
