A Fun Game

A Much Needed Update

Okay, I hear you! You want pictures of the cutie of the family! Well, I finally snapped a few today. Enjoy!

Here she is with some "balls" as she kindly refers to them (aka Trix cereal) for snack.

She was also watching her very favorite, Sesame Street, on TV at the same time. Sorry, I had a hard time getting her to look at me. Apparently Elmo is rather distracting.

So, I tried again later. Here we are playing with the maracas. She is showing everyone that the top changes color.

She is shaking it here, but you can't exactly see that in a still picture. So, thats when I got the idea that I should try to take some videos. I apologize for the quality, and for Evelynn's attention span, but at least I tried!

12 Week Appointment Success!

Okay, I admit, I haven't been updating the blog like my usual self. I apologize profusely, but please understand that I have been exhausted! This baby making business is hard work, and in my free time (aka Evelynn's nap time), I like to SLEEP!

In other news, my 12 week appointment was today. All was well. Baby's heartbeat was strong and healthy. Gained a pound (woohoo - big difference from the ten I lost at this time with Evelynn) and the doctor seemed pleased. We even set up my ultrasound appointment to find out the gender! Drum roll please...the big day is July 14th! We'll have to take a poll when the time gets a little closer. Evelynn came with me for this appointment and she did SO WELL. Not that I doubted her, but I have heard some serious horror stories. She got a little nervous when they drew my blood, but I had a secret weapon: DUM DUMS! Yup! That's right, I sugared by kid up, and boy did it work! It was her first time with suckers, so she was a little messy, but super cute. I was kicking my butt that I didn't have a camera to catch the pink tinted drool soaking her cute little outfit.

I promise to update with pictures soon. Maybe even show you a little belly bulge. They aren't kidding when they say you pop a little sooner with the second pregnancy! Of course, this doesn't exactly look like a baby belly, more like I just ate a big Thanksgiving meal. Eh, oh well! I'll just be thankful that my ankles and back don't hurt from this bulge yet! Ha!
