Evelynn showing some of her Itsy Bitsy Spider skills. No singing yet, but she is definitely starting to get the motions. This probably isn't her best performance, but those with children understand that anytime you actually TRY to record something cute, you are just happy with anything you might get. Kids clam up rather easily it seems.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Bracelets?
So, my question is...where did she learn this? I don't really wear bracelets very often. Every once in a while a watch...hmmm...
All I know is that recently Evelynn has been using her stacking rings for other, more fashionable, purposes.
Elmo Pumpkin
So, we went all out on the pumpkin carving this year! I went to a website and found an adorable Elmo stencil, which I then handed over to my wonderful husband!
Brad used his gigantic pumpkin for the carving. Here he is tracing the stencil we had printed.
He used a kitchen knife for the big cutting, ice cream scoop for the gutting, but seriously used an exacto knife for the rest! It was incredibly tedious, but Brad did a fantastic job!
Almost four hours later, this is what we had!
Playtime Pals!
Caleb is growing like a weed, and Evelynn could not be more excited! Now that he is a little more mobile, can sit up independently, and interacts more with his environment...she cannot get enough of him!
Caleb ended up underneath the couch the other day...brings me back to the days when Evelynn would find herself wedged underneath furniture (sigh).
Isn't he cute? He is seriously always happy...definitely going to be an optimist!
Evelynn loves to play in this tote I pulled out for her Little People. Caleb was showing interest in getting in the tote the other day, so I happy obliged. It didn't take long before Evelynn was in there with him. She then gathered as many toys as could fit to join them in their fun.
I am so thankful that Evelynn has a playmate...even if it is only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Hopefully she is practicing her big sister skills, that could come in handy someday!

Racing!
Uncle Willy and my cousin Mark came up for the weekend to do a little racing at the local dirt track. Evelynn LOVED Uncle Willy! Here they are playing on the inflatable bed that Mark slept on in the living room.
This is the second night of racing (I forgot my camera the first night). It was much warmer on the second night, so it is probably for the best anyway.
Evelynn loved watching the races! She clapped every time the cars went across the finish line (whether it was a checkered flag or not!).
I tried to get some pictures before it got too dark...but I don't think I quite made it.
A really nice lady offered to take our picture...gotta love rednecks!

Night-Night Love
Mommy and baby doing a little snuggling in our jammies.
Evelynn was pretty distracted by the camera to do much kissing!
But she couldn't resist for long!
Pumpkin Patch
We went to a pumpkin patch this year, and Evelynn got to pick out her very own pumpkin!
She proudly walked around with it while Mommy and Daddy picked theirs out.
Daddy picked the biggest pumpkin he could find, and I think Evelynn picked close to the smallest one she could find. Mommy picked a pretty round, and beautifully colored one. Okay, enough of that...sounding a little Goldilocks-ish.

Halloween on its Way!
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Woods for my super cute Halloween outfit!
This is what my shiner looked like on Thursday. Much more colorful, but I think it went quite nicely with the Halloween attire.
You may have noticed in the last postings of pictures "Lovey the Lion" has been nearby. Well, he has been a favorite this week. I am not sure if it because it is the closest thing to "Bunny," and I make her keep that in her crib, but it seems to help her get through the times when her molars are getting the best of her. Allow me to send a shout-out to Lovey the Lion..."thank you!!!"

A day in the life...
Honestly, the black eye didn't phase her too much.
...but the molars she is getting causes her mood to be very up and down! She has gotten three molars in the last couple of weeks and the fourth is definitely on its way. We have had lots of night waking (approximately every fours hours, seems to coincide nicely with when she can have more Tylenol!) I feel like I have an infant again!
On the other hand, Caleb is conquering his own feats. He has started grabbing Evelynn's sippy cup every chance he gets!
He needs a little help getting the spout to his lips still, but isn't he just precious?!
