Saturdays with Sammy

Ride em' cowboy!
"I love Sammy!!!!"
"I love you too Evelynn!!!"
Evelynn hasn't made any significant progress in her crawling...but not due to any lack of practice!
"Hey Mom, I'm ready for my close-up.""Are you seriously still taking pictures?...give it a rest!"

Crawling Practice is Hard Work

Every time we put Evelynn down on the floor, she flips over on her tummy and begins to practice her crawling. There is a lot of rocking back and forth, a little bit of the bear crawl, and of course the famous backward crawling! Mommy and Daddy love to watch her...but in her frustration, her practice often ends with a red nose and a couple of tears! Poor girl...it won't be long!!

5 Months Old...getting big!

Thank you Bacons for Evelynn's super cute outfit! She was the star of the nursery at church when she wore it for the first time.
Evelynn loves to play in her Exersaucer, especially now that she knows how to grab at all of the toys.
Well, not only grab, but also chew on all of the toys!
Evelynn practices her crawling techniques ALL OF THE TIME!
Evelynn got the flu from her Mommy, but she was still a very happy baby. Her fever soared, she slept a lot, had the runny nose (as you can see here), but she still took time out to play - under the couch!
Thanks Great Mama and Papa for Evelynn's BIG Valentine bear! She loves it!
Grandma and Grandpa Buser came down for a visit! Evelynn showed them all of her new tricks that she has learned since Christmas.
Evelynn loves her Grandma!
Family photo!
And this is the family Evelynn is used to...Buser silliness!

Divine Sweetness!

"Yes Mommy?"
"Oh, I get it! You want me to SMILE!"

Yummy Cereal!

First Bite!
"What the heck was that?!"
"I love this stuff!"
Evelynn did great with her first cereal...we just couldn't get it in her mouth fast enough! She was quite facinated with the spoon, which was a problem at times, but all in all, a definite success.
"Bring on the veggies!"

Sippin' and Mobility!

We wanted Evelynn to be ready to take juice from a sippy cup next month, so we thought we would introduce her to the sippy cup with a tiny bit of water first.
Success! She even tried to hold it on her own, but couldn't quite get the angle right!
Evelynn doesn't exactly play ON her playmats anymore...that is just where she starts, where she ends up, we never can tell!
"Hey Sam! Wait for me, whatcha lookin' at?"
