Evelynn's Christmas Wishes

I felt it necessary to back up a little and show you the reasons why we gave Evelynn a kitchen for Christmas...I am sure the pictures will pretty well speak for themselves.

Now, where did I put that vacuum attachment??

I believe a baby pirate declared the attachment part of her treasure, and hid it where no one would ever find it!

I cannot think of a more illogical place to put the vacuum attachment than inside the TV stand.

Remind me again...

...why am I buying presents for Evelynn for Christmas?

By the way, this was literally the box that one of her presents was delivered in. The real gift is of course wrapped...what irony.

Modern/Contemporary Art for the Home!

I realize that most of you are getting on the blog to look at cute pictures of Evelynn, but I am too excited not to share this with you too! Check out our new art work!!!!
So, I realize that the photo quality really stinks...but these are the new additions to our home. We commissioned our friend, Alisa, to do these for us and they turned out fantastic!! Click on her name to see some of the other work she has done...I am just such a fan!

Christmas is Here!

Evelynn hanging the first ornament..getting a little boost from Daddy.
Notice how the non-breakables are within reach...smart Mommy.
This is really a picture of our fireplace...I realized I hadn't shown the finished product yet! Brad worked his patoot off to get the paint removed...and this is what we have now! There is still some touch-up work to do...but we are quite happy with it. The picture really doesn't do it justice, not to mention the awful paint color!

Skunk Dog

So, Sammy got skunked while he was hunting over the weekend. Poor guy!
We did find a really neat de-skunking recipe online though that worked wonders:
1 quart peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon dishing soap
We just scrubbed the stink and it really did help lots! You can't bottle the stuff because it would explode if completely contained...so I guess that's why no one has patented it yet! HA!
And here's a picture of skunky dog...doesn't he look pathetic?

Spaghetti Anyone?

So, this definitely isn't our first spaghetti experience..but we still wanted to share!

She did have a bowl at one point...it didn't last long.

This made us laugh so hard!
Does this picture remind anyone else of the Sonic chili dog commercial? She is attacking it from the middle, where it is least expecting it!

Technology and the Younger Generation

They say it starts at such a young age these days.

Henley Thanksgiving

So, yet again, I failed to bring my camera for Brad's family get together at Thanksgiving! The only reason I have pictures of my side is because we were staying there, so my camera was there by default!
Mom and Mama
Uncle Hondo and Aunt Julie

Les and Brad

Mama with her two great grandbabies: Myka and Evelynn
Myka is a couple months younger than Evelynn...so it will be lots of fun to watch them grow up together!

Mom and Mark

Papa - looking and feeling better from his chemo! YAY!

Tanner, Tiffani, and their baby Myka

Elmo LIVE!

For all of you who are wondering, yes my family spoils my baby horribly (thank you)! Now, on with the pictures...

For those of you who have been living under a rock, or who just don't have kids yet, Elmo LIVE is big this year! And for kids like Evelynn, who are borderline obsessed, it is a dream come true!

I love this picture of Uncle Willy and Evelynn "discovering" her early Christmas present!

Cue: Evelynn peeing her pants with excitement! Thank goodness we haven't made it to the training pants stage of potty training yet!

This picture was taken the next day, once Evelynn had time to adjust to the idea of Elmo talking and dancing! It didn't take long!

She now loves her new Elmo, but doesn't quite understand why she can't pick him up and carry him around the house. Thank goodness Aunt Carrie gave her an Elmo for her birthday that is just for that purpose!
