Easter Fun!

Grandpa and Grandma Woods came to visit for Easter this year! This is Evelynn and Grandpa enjoying Easter breakfast at church.

Mommy and Daddy gave Evelynn her first Bible, a stuffed chick, and a monster (because of all of the fun sounds she makes right now!) A little love for the chick!
Grandma and Grandpa Buser sent an Easter bucket! Evelynn loved her Lion lovie, it says Jesus Loves Me on the front!

Daddy's Little Monster

We have started calling Evelynn a monster lately because of the fun sounds she is learning to make. Grandma Buser likes to call it, "finding her voice."

"Oh no! Mom? Are you still over there?"

Sunday Night Laugh-a-thon!

Evelynn stayed up really late with the family (9pm is really late in her world) and had a late night laugh session with Daddy.

Grandma Woods Comes for a Visit

"Hi Grandma! Are you snapping pictures already?"
"Let me show you my crawling skills!"

Evelynn started crawling really well this week. We haven't decided if that is a good thing yet!

Like I said, it was bedtime. Most of you know this by now, but Evelynn has taken to her thumb when she is sleepy.

bite...quite entertaining!

Like all babies, Evelynn loves to be naked! If you look closely you can see her little birthmark is still there...but definitely fading.

Grandma squeezed in as much love as I think is humanly possible in only a few days!

Grandma tried to pack Evelynn in her suitcase, but she wouldn't fit! Mommy thinks she would have brought her back in a few hours though...she would have gotten hungry!

"All right, Mommy says I am trying something new...something called carrots."
"Ummm, I don't think I like carrots! Why did I open my mouth for this?"

Bathtime in the Sink

This week we decided to let Evelynn try out the sink, instead of her baby bathtub.
She loved it, except she was getting very distracted by all of the new things around her. Mommy had to keep a hand on her the whole time so she wouldn't bonk her head on the side of the sink!
She loves to play with her bathtime puppy, and has taken to teething on him recently.
"Hi Dad! Look at me, I am sitting up in the sink for bathtime!"
"Mom, was this really necessary?" I remind her often that this is the only time in her life when chunky thighs are going to be cute - so enjoy it!
