The gift with a story behind it...yes Evelynn's grandma and grandpa stood outside in the cold for hours to get Aunt Carrie her Christmas gift! Definitely a happy aunt!

My Mouth is SO much FUN!

Evelynn had learned that putting her toys in her mouth is a lot of fun! As a matter of fact, here she is insanely tired, but still not willing to let go of her rattle and Santa Baby because of this new found love.

Ice Storm!

And then the ice storm hit! This is looking out west from our front porch.

Ice covered everything...which is why we lost power on Sunday night (after we took our family pictures) and it didn't return until Friday! Yikes! A BIG thanks to the Scotts for taking in a COLD family!

Now things are back to normal. Here is Evelynn trying out her Exersaucer.
I would say she likes it. Here she is letting out a big squeal...if only there were sound!

Play Time!

Time for a little fun on the playmat! Evelynn has been learning the idea of cause and effect..."when I swing my arms and legs, lots of fun things start moving and making noises on my playmat!"
This is pretty much exactly what I see when I get out of the shower in the morning. Evelynn loves to sit in her bouncer seat and play while I get around.

Evelynn has found a new love for her blankets. She loves to feel them and rub them against her face, especially when she is getting tired. Here she is sitting in her Bumbo, trying to keep warm.

Everyone thinks Evelynn is so cute in her cold weather gear. Daddy calls her his little hippo, but we are pretty sure it is a bear - no need to disappoint him though.
This is Evelynn's little cousin Kate. Hard to imagine that Evelynn was this size only a few weeks ago! Time passes too quickly.
